In case you haven’t heard, the Met Club is going North!

Our First North East Event

Later this month we are holding our first event in the region: a Newcastle Property & Construction lunch.

Our panel for the event will feature:

  • Pat Ritchie, Chief Executive of Newcastle City Council
  • Tom Warburton, Director of Investment and Development

Discussion will focus on the upcoming property developments within the city plan, transport, housing, planning issues, regeneration and local investment opportunities. In short, if you want to know more about the future economic growth plans for Newcastle, it’s the place to be.

Gavin Brown, the Met Club North East hostOur North East Host

Running the event is our new host for the North East: Gavin Brown. Gavin’s background is in social housing and construction. He also runs a successful event management business, which is why he is the ideal partner to develop the Met Club in the North East.

Gavin says “I knew the Met Club was doing some fantastic sessions down in Yorkshire. It was a shame the North East was missing out! I saw this as the ideal opportunity to work with Julie to bring it to the region.”

Plans for the North East

The first event on the schedule is a Newcastle Property & Construction lunch, but hopes are high for the North East.

Plans include regular Meet & Mingle networking, further property events, and Northern Powerhouse discussions. And it’s not just Newcastle. Gavin hopes to roll out events across the whole of the North East, including Middlesborough and Sunderland.

So watch this space. You can book onto our first Newcastle Property & Construction lunch here. Don’t forget to pass on the news to any contacts you have up north!

Newcastle Property & Construction lunch is taking place on March 29 , 12-2:30pm, at Crowne Plaza Newcastle. Tickets cost £37.50+VAT for members and £60+VAT for non-members. Book here.
